Single Of The Month – “After We Are Gone” by dMh featuring Stephen Fry

After We Are Gone is an ambient-pop track by musician/producer dMh, using the words of chief executive Andrew Copman, from Humanists UK, and narrated by the legendary Stephen Fry. It’s a track that does what it says on the tin and offers a philosophical and thought-provoking catharsis, handpicked from the ethos of Humanism. Through the captivating commentary, After We Are Gone, celebrates the wonder of life and the authenticity of atheism. It’s a track that remedies the notions of existentialism and nihilism, with a heavy dose of positive thinking, uniting humanity with a cosmic force of unified love.

It’s a wonderful piece of music, a serene sanctuary that seduces the senses and surrenders the soul. It’s pensive poetry, that embraces autonomy and  emancipates the chains of social conditioning. Like the lovechild of “Baz” Luhrmann’s track “Suncream” and The Orb’s “Fluffy Clouds”, After We Are Gone platforms the contemporary sounds of electronica and synth-pop with the soporific sonics of spoken word.

Listening to After We Are Gone evokes a sense of freedom and power, that lifts the spirit and reaffirms the idea of self-will. Through the flicker synths, piercing beats and oblique ambience, After We Are Are Gone, resides in the basement of house-trance, whilst  floating through the timelines of new wave. Along with the orchestral flow, piano-esque synths and haunting harmonies, After We Are Gone, ebbs and flows towards a neo-classicism shoreline.

Released on the 24th June 2022, “After We Are Gone” will be released on all digital platforms, with all the proceeds and royalties being donated to the Humanists (UK).
