The Kino Club are a team of music producers and songwriters from Greater Manchester, whose professional and  sleek productions make them an ever evolving creative force. Having worked with Rowetta on the standalone track “So Sweet”, The Kino Club’s presence is going from strength to strength, creating a verstaile outlet for talented musicians.  Now after teaming up with legendary MC/rapper Kermit from Ruthless Rap Assassins/Black Grape and Julie E Gordon from the Happy Mondays, Caulbears and Julie Gordon & The Digital Orchestra, The Kino Club have released “Tear it apart”, which has been selected as my “Single of the Week”. Released on Friday 2nd May, “Tear it apart” is testament to Manchester’s long legacy of producing diverse, exciting and powerful music.

“Tear it apart”  is a  brilliant  hip-hop, baroque pop and soulful track, which effortlessly  prowls in the darkness, whilst gleaming in the light.  It’s one of those tracks whose powerhouse of talent creates an engaging and seductive soundscape, which draws you in through Gordon’s stunning, gusto vocals and Kermit’s dark and passionate musings.  Along with its brooding synths, staccato violins and Industrial clatter, “Tear it apart”  sees  The Kino Club excel in creating a smouldering, atmospheric backdrop for its seeping emotions.  What’s great about “Tear it apart” is it bridges the gap between dark electronica and  baroque pop, whilst creating a soulful, street platform for  Gordon and Kermit’s  exemplary vocal deliveries. It’s a polished production, which confirms yet again the sheer talent of Julie E Gordon  and Kermit as influential artists in their field.
