Beauty in Chaos are a musical collective from Los Angeles, whose stunning music goes back to the origins of dark-wave rock and intercepts with deep lashings of alternative metal, industrial rock, baroque-rock, dark-wave, hard-rock, post-punk and new-wave whilst seduced by the dark-romanticism of goth-rock. Created in 2018 by Michael Ciravolo (Human Drama and Gene Loves Jezebel), Beauty in Chaos are the ultimate rock super-group, that beats its heart to the drums of melodic-rock, and heals its sorrowful soul by its inner-inferno. Like a raging fire of alternative-rock, Beauty in Chaos are all or nothing, an all-consuming affair, whose uncompromising passion burns and smoulders within every iota of sounds. Like phantasmagorical punk, Beauty in Chaos create music whose sentiments reside in the shadows of our minds, where emotions are exorcised and released from the cells of hell. It’s music for the guitar-gods, whose riffs singe, combust and soar like a Phoenix burning from the ashes. It’s music that pierces deep within, renews, regenerates and aligns darkness with light.
A prolific Beauty of Chaos music collective has included members of The Mission, The Cure, Ministry, Cheap Trick, The Offspring, Gene Loves Jezebel, Marilyn Manson, Human Drama, Bauhaus, Nine Inch Nails, Van Halen, A Flock of Seagulls, as well as dUg Pinnick (Kings X), ICE-T, producer Tim Palmer, guitar icon Zakk Wylde, Ashton Nyte (The Awakening), Evi Vine and Rolan Bolan.
Following the release of their album, ‘The Storm Before The Calm’, and the remix-based ‘Out Of
Chaos Comes’ in 2020, Beauty of Chaos have been busy in the studio working on their new album, ‘Behind The Veil’. Released in February 2022, the album will feature all female vocalists, including their track “Orion”, which has been selected as my Single of The Week.
Featuring award winning singer-songwriter Whitney Tai, “Orion” is an epic track, whose thunderous bass prowls in an underground of post-punk, nu-metal and new-wave whilst heading towards a dark-wave horizon. It’s powerhouse of stunning aesthetics, that filters through the whole production and leaves you completely entranced. Through the velvet vocals of Tai, “Orion” soars to celestial heights, drifting to ethereal-rock, whilst reveling in all its goth glory. Like a Rock- Warrior, Tai oozes charisma, stage presence and commands her audience, with her brave, bold and overtly sensual persona. She’s a real asset to the collective, whose tantalising tones rise and resonate aside the zig-zag riffs and orchestral orbit of chimerical synths. Along with the back-track of synths, flutter of space-synths, robust beats and interval of Eastern-operatic, Orion flies high amongst the stars, whilst paying a visit to the celestial gods.
