Dublin based artists David Long ( Formerly of Into Paradise) and Shane O’Neil ( Formerly of Blue in Heaven) have joined forces to collaborate and produce a 3 track single, comprising the title track “Dreams Come “, “Meet Me On Another Day” and “You Are Always On Your Own”. As a 3 track single, “Dreams Come” takes you back to the basics of alternative rock, without any pretensions, and emotionally charged, without any dramatic displays of artistic expression. It’s music that is timeless, borne from the golden era of post-punk, new wave, garage, power-pop and good old-fashioned rock n roll.

In an age where music can easily be manipulated, reworked and given a glossy veneer, “Dreams Come” is the real deal. It’s music for true music-lovers, that reflect and promotes a sense of kinship, subdued Celtic spirituality and a tribal connection that reunites sonic synergy.

With the title track “Dreams Come “, the band captures the sun-drenched ambience of halcyon days, that filters through the gentle harmonies and jangly guitar riffs. It’s a happy-go-lucky sing a long, reminiscent of the surf-rock of the 60s, creating a foot tapping, nostalgic wonder.

Again, with “Meet Me On Another Day”, Long and O’Neil venture towards a sunnier climate, surfing the new-waves of power-pop and synth-pop. Along with the shadow-synths, “Meet Me On Another Day” creates a hazy highway, a mirage of music that lingers in the recesses of its yearning soul. Through the jangly riffs, “Meet Me On Another Day”, side-saddles through the alcoves of country-blues, whilst taking a road trip to neo-psychedelia.

“You Are Always On Your Own” is beautifully melodic, whose sentiments are captured through the stripped down acoustics, piano tinkers and pensive lyrics. Along with the delicate vocals, “You Are Always On Your Own”, pulls at the heartstrings, and takes you to a place of poetic melancholy and a haven of harmony and discord.

Dreams Come is released on 13th August 2021, via Country Pylon Recordings.
