Black Nite Crash are an alternative rock band from Seattle whose jagged riffs, throbbing basslines, textured tones and chamber-vocals, help define a new generation of indie-rock music merging from the scene in recent years. Comprised of Jim Biggs on guitars, vocals, keys, Jasun Hadaway on bass, keys, Tony Zuniga on drums, percussion, Claire Tucker on guitars, vocals, keys, Sharim Johnson on guitars and Matt Brown on organ, keys, Black Nite Crash are nocturnal noisemakers, taking the space-rock strums from the late 60s and spins them on the decks of new wave.
They are mixmakers of shimmery neo-blues, whilst flashbacking under the sonic strobescopes of classic art-rock. What’s great about Black Nite Crash is their multi-faceted motifs, that shift and linger in a subtle state of sunshine melancholy. They are primitive drum messengers, calling upon the music gods and reaching out to their ancestral alliance of reverberation and rebirth.
Having been busy in the studio, Black Nite Crash have released their LP “Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash”, on 14th October 2022, which has been nominated as The Manc Review’s “Album Of The Month”.
It’s a fantastic album that swerves the wheels of garage-rock at fast velocity and throbs from the hedonistic heart of neo-psychedelia. It’s an album that flies high on the astral planes of space-rock and nose dives into the debris of noise-rock. Like the distant cousin of The Jesus Mary Chain, The Black Angels, Verve, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Stone Roses, Suicide, Spacemen 3, Washed In The Sound with Black Nite Crash inject a dose of proto-punk, that swaggers in the sidelines of blues-rock. Along with the alternating vocals of Biggs and Tucker, the album creates a versatile soundscape. that saunters between the sunny days of power pop, whilst feeling the fuzzy warmth of acid-rock.
It’s an intriguing mix of kaleidoscopic reverberation, and dreamy darkwave, that drifts mildly on the clouds of neo-classicism. Along with the tribal beats and sparse intervals, Washed In The Sound with Black Nite Crash, stays true to the soul collective of Indie rock, whilst dancing with the baggy grooves of dance rock. It’s classically cool and an evolutionary expansive that encourages you to stay up all night and stomp your converse on the dance floor. Listening to Washed In The Sound with Black Nite Crash, evokes a sense of late-night thrills, chilled out bliss, and euphoric highs, where the music liberates and possesses the soul.
On October 14th 2022, the ‘Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash’ LP will be available on all digital platforms including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. They will hold their album release show at The Six in Portland on November 5th 2022 and also play the Sunset Tavern on December 16th/17th 2022 for Seattle’s Tremolo Festival.
